Chuck is a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force. Chuck retired in 1994 while serving as the Director of Information Management at Schriever AFB, CO. Started a second career as a software development and project manager for Fortune 500 companies, with MCI Telecommunications, SUN Microsystem, Harris Corporation, and Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Chuck was born in Cheyenne Wyoming and grew up in Trinidad, Colorado, where he was graduated from Trinidad Catholic High School. A graduate of Regis University, Denver Colorado, with a BS in Business Administration. He is currently retired, avid skier, and enjoys time with his family and taking advantage of the beautiful Colorado outdoors. He working to increase Latino voter participation and advocating for social justice.!
Don Martinez is a Colorado Native, Iraq War veteran and former Election Judge in the 2020 election in Colorado. He is passionate about Public Service and the Democratic process. He currently resides in Colorado Springs, CO where he raises his two daughters.
Joe Barrera, Ph.D., has lived and worked in Colorado Springs since 1968.
He was a Community Representative for the City of Colorado Springs
Human Relations Commission for many years. He was a college and university
professor at Colorado College, Pikes Peak Community College and the University
of Colorado, Colorado Springs, teaching American literature, Chicano/Chicana
literature, and American Ethnic Studies.
Joe Barrera received his BA in English from Colorado College in
Colorado Springs, his MA in English from Claremont Graduate School in
Claremont, California, and his Ph.D. in U.S. Southwest Literature from the
University of Texas at Austin.
He is active in a leadership role in the Latino community and is the founder
of a tour company, TAVA Tours of the American West, an educational and
adventure tour company specializing in guided lecture tours of Colorado, New Mexico,
Utah and Wyoming, with visits to Native American, HIspanic and Anglo pioneer
sites of historical significance.
Joe writes a column in the Colorado Springs Gazette on diverse topics.
He is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War and organizes regular sessions
of the Colorado Springs Veterans Community Dialogues.
GEORGE AUTOBEE, BA, MA
Mr. Autobee is the CEO/President of World Demographic Research LLC., and was a past
board member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and the
Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (DHCC). He also was an Instructor in Chicano/a
Studies at Colorado State University-Pueblo, Community College of Denver and
Metropolitan State University.
He received a
B.A. Degree from the University of Southern Colorado, and a
Masters Degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He also received a
Certificate of Completion
from the Institute on International Education, at the University of Manchester in England.
Mr. Autobee over the last twenty five years has researched, written and presented national
and state reports on Hispanic owned business, for the United States Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce, California Hispanic, Texas Mexican American and Florida Cuban Chambers of
Commerce. He has also presented several Hispanic business research reports at the Aspen
Institute as well as Minority business research studies for the Colorado office of Minority
business and Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Autobee was producer of over 100 television programs called the Weekly Issue and the
Hispanic Chamber Review, for Ch59 Telemundo. He also produced two documentaries on
Hispanic Genealogical research and Los Veteranos. He has also edited the book on
The Life and Times of Charles Autobee and co-authored the book on
Hispanic Entrepreneurship and just finished authoring his latest book

Mr. Autobee also worked for the American GI Forum in Washington DC as the Director of
Government Affairs. He work on the New GI bill for Veterans and support for families
taking care of paralyzed Veterans.

5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. He was wounded twice while in combat, and was
